a little bit about
You're probably a busy mom with a long to-do list that includes grocery shopping, meal planning, cleaning the same things over and over again, and trying not to go crazy from hearing yourself say the same things your mom used to say to you as a kid. (Hey, some of that stuff really makes sense now!) But despite everything, you love your family more than anything, and every single thing you do is for them. (Yep, even that chocolate you hide so you don't have to share. That's for your mental health, which is really for their benefit!)
Most days you can find me in my yoga pants and messy bun chilling at home with my kiddos and trying to keep up with the endless laundry and dishes that come along with #momlife.
I live in Firestone, Colorado with my hubby and three of our four daughters. Our oldest daughter (my bonus-daughter) lives nearby with her hubby and their daughter, too.
Yup, I'm totally rocking the #girlmom life!!
I'm what they call an extroverted-introvert - I love people, but I need my me-time. I tend to start off as more of a listener, but the more you get to know me the more energetic and talkative I become. (Especially if I'm excited about something!) I'm an open book and pretty easy-going 99.9% of the time. 😘
March 2008 - daughter #1
I gave my Hubby strict instructions to record EVERYTHING during labor and the birth. Things progressed fairly quickly, and HUBBY STARTED RECORDING when pushing began. He zoomed in as close to my vagina as he possibly could and he captured the entire Birth, up close and personal like that..... 🤣🤦♀️
it is my most treasured video BUT....
May 2011 - daughter #2
I gave Hubby strict instructions NOT to video anything this time to spare our friends and family from seeing another down-under film! I remember having a hard time focusing - everything from that day is a blur. Someone managed to snap a few amazing photos on their cell phones, but I wish more than anything there was more...
December 2017 - duaghter #3
I prepped hubby with my camera and flash... We're going pro this time- I want all the photos!!
Long story short, my water broke too early and I was hospitalized over Christmas and New Year's.
Which brings us to January 2018
I end up being induced to bring my 34 week old baby into the world, and straight into the NICU. I was terrified.
Hubby knocked it out of the park and captured a handful of AMAZING photos that I adore! (And baby girl only had to spend 17 days in the NICU.)
>I don't have any photos of me riding the wave of a contraction. I will never be able to see what I look like - do I look strong? Do I look peaceful?
>I don't have any photos of my birth team rubbing my back or giving me sips of water or blowing on my overheated face.
>I have never seen what my placentas have looked like (and yes, I wanted to!)
>And most importantly, I don't have a single photo of my husband's reaction to his daughters being born.
